June 23rd, 2010 2 comments

GoldStockMania.com reader who goes by “SW”, was kind enough to write-up the article below to discuss his experiences of living abroad as an expat. It is a nice follow-up to the recent article, “10 Benefits of (Exiting the US) Expatriation.” There are some good comments at the end of the article for anyone who is considering leaving the US before civil unrest breaks out here. SW has lived in six different countries, values his privacy and freedom (as do I). So please enjoy SW’s article below and feel free to leave a comment or question for him. Read more…

10 Benefits of (Exiting the US) Expatriation

I have previously and briefly talked about my plans to potentially leave the United States. I am currently researching suitable destinations that may offer a higher quality of living for myself and family. I am aware that an ever-increasing amount of Americans have already done so. My wife recently went on a scouting trip to Ecuador based on information we researched via Internal Living. She met many American expatriates living there and loving it for too many reasons to list here (more to come later). Over the weekend, I came across a guide that list 10 reasons why Americans may want to leave the US, before it’s too late. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this and any places you recommend we check out next. Read more…

Trading In The Zone – Review

February 22nd, 2010 No comments

I thought I would take a moment to review one of my all time favorite t investment books, ” Trading In The Zone“, by Mark Douglas.  This is actually the book that helped me start making money consistently in the markets.  Before reading this book I was very inconsistent in making profitable trades.  If you are like me, you may have some trading behaviors that you are not too proud of and have not served you well such as; getting in too early, getting out too late, being indecisive on if you should get in or stay out.

Do you know what it feels like watching a profitable trade go down the drain because you did not exit when you should have?

Guide to Investing In Gold and Silver

For all the newbies, Rich Dad’s Advisors: Guide to Investing In Gold and Silver: Protect Your Financial Future is for you.  It is an extremely easy, quick, and fascinating read that will explain to you how to protect your wealth and get positioned for the upcoming dollar destruction. You will be amazed at how much value your money has already lost see my article Gold vs Dollar, What a Knock Out! While there is still time to protect the wealth you have left, I highly urge you to get this book and read it thoroughly.

This was actually the first book I read on investing in gold and silver and is one of my favorite investment books. Being a big fan of the Rich Dad book series in general, I thought I would give it a try.  My only regret is I did not read it sooner!

The author, Mike Maloney does a great  job at walking through interesting historical events of many governments throughout history that started with honest money systems based on gold and silver.  Then due to increasing government corruption, they moved their currencies away from gold & silver to eventually just printing currency!  Which is the point that the United States has come to.  Mike shows you the playbook these earlier governments used and proved to be a disaster for their countries and people by eroding the value of their currencies until they were worth nothing.

The US seems to be running the exact same plays as many of the others and will leave its citizens out to dry when they wake up one morning and find that the US dollar has been devalued by 50-90% overnight like some recent countries or over a few years.  Don’t delay in getting this book. Protect yourself and your love ones now.
