Last week I offered some analysis using the True Strength Index indicator on the daily and hourly charts of GLD, GDX and GDXJ. This week I would like to offer what I believe to be a realistic look at what could be headed our way in the upcoming month of July. The GLD, GDX and SLV charts in this article were made using the publically available software at FreeStockCharts.com. Read more…
I just saw this update on Timmins Gold (TMM.v, TMGOF), one of my penny mining stock picks that I did a Trading Card review on back on Feb. 7th, 2010. It looks like they are continuing to roll a long pretty smoothly! Timmins is now targeting 9,000 oz/month by this December 2010! With the life of the mine cost being close to $400 and gold being over $1200/oz…. Certainly looks like a winner to me. Read more…
Here are 10 gold price forecasts for 2010 and beyond. As you know, higher gold prices should eventually translate into higher profits for gold stock mining companies. Which in turn should eventually result in higher share prices for many of them. Hopefully you have a few good ones picked out as things should continue to get more interesting with each passing day. Check out the following forecasts and let me know where you think the price of gold is going and when….
GoldStockMania.com reader who goes by “SW”, was kind enough to write-up the article below to discuss his experiences of living abroad as an expat. It is a nice follow-up to the recent article, “10 Benefits of (Exiting the US) Expatriation.” There are some good comments at the end of the article for anyone who is considering leaving the US before civil unrest breaks out here. SW has lived in six different countries, values his privacy and freedom (as do I). So please enjoy SW’s article below and feel free to leave a comment or question for him. Read more…
I had originally received a request from a GoldStockMania.com reader who goes by the user name, “SW”, to do a review on Anglo Far East Bullion and weigh in on if I thought they are a legitimate option for buying and storing allocated gold and silver bullion. I complied to the request and posted a review on Anglo Far East (AFE) on February 28th, 2010. Since then I have taken the liberty to open up an account and personally talk with the folks over at AFE. I have more information I would like to bring you up to speed on in my Anglo Far East Review, Part 2. Read more…

We continue to hear pundits describe gold as a bubble. Certainly it will turn into a bubble before this is all over but we are hardly in the bubble stage yet. In order for a bubble to form you need the public to come into an asset class. The public is pretty dim and it can take 15-20 years before they “catch on”. It took 18 before they noticed the tech bubble. Read more…
Things are certainly starting to get interesting with the latest happenings at Revett Minerals and their Rock Creek property. As many of you know, they have battled environmentalist groups for many years now for the right to develop Rock Creek into a silver producing mine. It is well-known that enormous silver deposits exist at their Rock Creek property, but Revett has thus far been unable to tap this large silver reserve for one reason after another. Several environmental groups have banded together to prevent any development from taking place there. It now looks like Revett is taking the gloves off and are about to come out swinging in the next round.
Has anyone noticed how gold has been getting pretty hot lately? I mean it is really starting to sizzle! Silver is doing pretty good today as well, although I am still waiting for it to cross over $21/oz. The Comex shorting game can’t go on forever and perhaps we are already witnessing a short squeeze in progress. Investors just need to keep getting physical with gold and silver. I believe the Comex paper market is going to bust. Sooner or later the sophisticated investors who really want the price of gold to go higher will figure out this one simple thing they need to do…..and it’s more than just buying physical gold and silver. I had received an email from Petaquilla Minerals this morning answering my questions on why it has taken so long to close the refinancing deal with the bank and when do they expect to complete the arrangement. I received an update from Petaquilla’s Investor Relations this morning which I promptly sent out a quick update to my newsletter subscribers just before heading out the door along with my recommendations. I have included PTQ’s reply below along with my comments…. Read more…
